Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 2 with No-DigTec, LLC for the Rawhide AC Waterline Replacement Project.

Body

As a part of the on-going program to replace aging asbestos-cement waterlines within the City, this project has replaced approximately 1,400 linear feet of 8-inch waterline.  The City replaced the waterline on Rawhide Drive and Old West Drive located just west of the intersection of IH-35 and Hester’s Crossing behind the Flix Brewhouse shopping center.  This waterline had experienced several waterline leaks over the past two years and was in need of replacement.

No-DigTec, LLC won this contract award through the TIPS (The Interlocal Purchasing System) Co-op. Finance has approved this purchasing method and the City has performed other projects and acquisitions using this same method.

Change Order No. 1 was necessary for the installation of additional 1-inch and 2-inch water service lines that were not anticipated during the scoping of the project, and the installation of a 4-inch gate valve. This change order increased the contract amount to $1,317,321.65.

Change Order/Quantity Adjustment No. 2 is needed for final quantity adjustment to bid items for the project.  This $98,362.39 adjustment will increase the final contract amount to $1,415,684.04
