Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Letter Agreement consenting to an assignment of the Franchise Agreement with Central Refuse Texas, LLC for Collection and Disposal of Solid Waste for Temporary Services.

Integrated Waste Solutions Group, LLC recently agreed to sell 100 percent membership interest in Central Texas Refuse, LLC (CTR) to Allied Waste Systems, Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Services, Inc.  Republic Services is a reputable waste management company that is one of the largest providers of environmental services in the United States.  The provisions of the Franchise Agreement require CTR to provide written notification to the City of Round Rock and to obtain its express written consent in connection with the sale.  CTR request that the City acknowledge and consent to the sale of CTR from Integrated Waste Solutions Group to Republic Services.
