Texas Government Code, Chapter 2269 allows governmental entities to use certain methods other than competitive bidding in entering into contract for construction of facilities, the City of Round Rock is considering using “Construction Manager at Risk” as the delivery method for the new construction of Bob Bennett Building -Additional Phases Project. Construction Manager at Risk is a method of construction that allows the City of Round Rock to hire a contractor based off qualifications to prepare a guaranteed maximum price providing the best value for the City.
