Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 2 with BGE, Inc. for the 2 Million Gallon Reuse Ground Storage Tank Project

Body

The City of Round Rock’s reuse water system began in 2007 and has grown significantly over time. The system now serves many customers, including Old Setter’s Park, Dell Diamond, Texas State University Round Rock Campus, Austin Community College Round Rock, Kalahari, and others. To support future reuse water customers, additional storage at the Brushy Creek East Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant is needed. The Two Million Gallon Reuse Ground Storage Tank project will add the reuse water storage needed to ensure adequate capacity during peak summer demand.

This request is for the approval of a Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with BGE, Inc. for re-packaging, re-bidding, and construction phase services in an amount of $119,746. The project bid earlier this year, but subsequently bids were rejected due to budget exceedance. The project will re-bid with a streamlined scope and will utilize WaterSMART: Title XVI grant funding for a portion of the construction contract. The supplemental agreement with BGE, Inc. will serve to provide updated bid documents, support re-bidding the project, and support the construction phase of the project through completion.

Cost: $119,746.00
