Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Asphalt Inc., LLC d/b/a "Lone Star Paving Company" for the purchase of hot-mix asphalt.

The City of Round Rock Transportation Department utilizes asphalt materials to make permanent and temporary repairs to City streets throughout the year. These materials are used for road repair and maintenance as well as pothole patching and the restoration of underground utility repairs, such as watermain breaks as well as storm and sanitary sewer repairs.
An Invitation for Bid (IFB) was processed in accordance with IFB No. 23-030 for a hot mix asphalt contract for the City of Round Rock Transportation Department.
The IFB solicitation was advertised in the Round Rock Leader newspaper and posted to the City of Round Rock solicitation website. A total of 64 vendors were contacted. A total of 1 vendor responses were received and it has been determined that Asphalt Inc., LLC dba Lone Star Paving Company offers the best value to the City, therefore the Transportation recommends the contract be awarded to Asphalt Inc., LLC dba Lone Star Paving Company for hot mix asphalt required to support City operations.
This contract has a yearly amount of $224,000.00 and not to exceed $1,120,000.00 over five (5) years.
Cost: $1,120,00.00
