Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Guaranteed Price Amendment to the Construction Manager at Risk Standard Form of Agreement between the City and SpawGlass Contractors, Inc. for the Old Settlers Buildout Project-Chandler Creek Wastewater Upsize.

Body

The City of Round Rock’s Wastewater Master Plan, updated in November 2023, identifies several areas of improvement to the wastewater system to serve the ultimate development of all properties within the City’s wastewater service area. The Master Plan has recognized the need to upsize a portion of the existing 12” Chandler Creek 4 wastewater line to 15” to serve future customers in the basin and accommodate Old Settlers Park expansions.

The line traverses within the Ryan’s Crossing subdivision and Old Settlers Park. Beginning near the intersection of Rad Carew Drive and Roberto Clemente Lanel, it continues northwest through the subdivision and into Old Settlers Park near Mickey Mantle Place. The line continues northwest towards E Old Settlers Blvd, with the project ending just south of the roadway.

This item is for the approval of a GMP with SpawGlass that will upsize the portion of the line traversing Old Settlers Park, ending near the Upper Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District structure opposite the Lakeview Pavilion in the amount of $1,548,721.00. SpawGlass is currently managing improvements to Old Settlers Park in all areas around the wastewater line though Old Settlers Park including the compensatory cut of the lake, additional parking lot at Aten Loop, and the Multipurpose Complex expansion.
