Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 1 with J.D. Abrams, LP for the University Boulevard Expansion Project.

The University Blvd Expansion project from AW Grimes to SH 130 will add two lanes in the Westbound direction to create a four lane divided roadway to improve traffic safety and mobility in the area.
The original contract price is $11,104,890.48. Please find attached Quantity adjustment/Change Order #1 for $163,381.79. This change request accounts for a number of traffic signal items that were included in the plan set but left off the bid tab,correcting quantities for pavement markings, adding hours for Law enforcement personnel to assist with traffic control, and additional silt fence required on the project. The adjusted contract amount will be $11,268,272.27
