Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute the Second Amendment to the Wholesale Water Service Agreement with the City of Georgetown.

Body
The City of Round Rock and City of Georgetown would like to amend the existing Wholesale Water Service Agreement between the two cities that delivers treated water from Lake Travis through the BCRUA water delivery system. In 2020, the cities entered into a 10 year agreement where Round Rock provides up to 3.0 million gallons per day (MGD) through the first Point of Delivery at County Road 175 for Georgetown.

Recently, the City of Liberty Hill has asked if Round Rock could provide 250,000 gallons per day (GPD) of treated water to Liberty Hill. Because Round Rock does not have an interconnect with Liberty Hill, Round Rock came to terms on this proposed Second Amendment with Georgetown to wheel this treated water through the Georgetown distribution system in order to delivery the water to Liberty Hill.

Round Rock will increase the Firm Service water from 3.0 MGD to 3.25 MGD with City of Georgetown so that Georgetown can deliver the 250,000 GPD through their distribution system to Liberty Hill. Beginning on September 1, 2025, the monthly base charge for the 3.25 MGD quantity of water delivered through the County Road 175 Point of Delivery shall be increased from $43,530 to $47,732. The volumetric charge will be increased from $1.16 to $1.22 per 1,000 gallons of water delivered to Georgetown.

A second Point of Delivery location at Highlands at Mayfield allows Round Rock to deliver 1.0 MGD of treated water to Georgetown. This volume of water will remain at 1.0 MGD, but starting September 1, 2025 the monthly base charge for this location will be increased from $14,510 to $14,687. The volumetric charge will be increased from $1.16 to $1.22 per 1,000 gallons of water delivered to Georgetown.

This Second Amendment to the Wholesale Water Service Agreement will become affective on September 1, 202...
