Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Texas Division of Emergency Management for participation in Texas Emergency Management Assistance Teams.

This MOU is a requirement by the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) for the City of Round Rock and its employees to participate in Texas Emergency Management Assistance Teams (TEMAT). Currently the fire department participates with Texas Task Force 1, the Incident Management Team, and the Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS). It is important to note that when a member is called on to perform tasks with one of these teams that the City of Round Rock is reimbursed for all time, meals/lodging, and any backfill needed to fill positions when a member is deployed.
