Safeware Inc. is a supplier of public safety-related equipment for the Department. The Police Department primarily purchases protective equipment, uniform items, ammunition, and miscellaneous equipment from this vendor.
The City's original, four-year contract was approved in 2019 and ends on Sept. 30. The original contract had not-to-exceed clauses of $55,000 annually for each year of the contract. The supplemental agreement raises the final not-to-exceed amount by $140,000 and is intended to allow the Department to continue to use the contract pricing through the end of its term on September 30.
Cost: $140,000.
