Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority Regarding the Provision of Federal Transit Administration Section 5307 Program Funds for Fiscal Years 2025 and 2026.

Body

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlines the agreement between the City of Round Rock and Capital Metro in order for the City to be a direct recipient and receive its share of the federal funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).   As a direct recipient the city will receive the 5307 funds for the provision of public transportation services for fiscal years 2025 and 2026.  The exact amounts will be calculated based on the federal apportionment of 5307 funds Capital Metro receives from FTA.  The City is responsible for complying with all applicable Section 5307 Program requirements including, but not limited to providing local matching funds.  The MOU will expire at the end of FY 2026.

Terms of Agreement:   Two (2) years ending September 2026
