Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County regarding cost sharing related to the Kenney Fort Boulevard - Segment 5 Project and the Kenney Fort Boulevard - Segment 6 Project.

Body

The Kenney Fort Boulevard - Segments 5 and 6 are identified in Round Rock's Transportation Master Plan. The Segment 5 project will extend Kenney Fort Boulevard from Old Settler's Boulevard to CR 112.  The Segment 6 project will extend Kenney Fort Boulevard from CR112 to University Boulevard.  Both of these segments will be constructed as 6-lane divided arterials.

This Interlocal agreement with Williamson County brings the County alongside the City as a financial partner to partially fund the construction work. This agreement would allot for funding reimbursement from Wilco for design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction costs not-to-exceed $9,000,000.  Staff recommends formalizing the City's partnership with the County at this time by approving the ILA.
