This item allows the City to work with Better Trees of Texas to source, purchase and grow large, high quality trees for the Old Settlers Park Buildout Project. This item will include the purchase of trees associated with the Harrelll Parkway realignment, Lakeview Area Project, Rock'N River Expansion, Tennis/Pickleball Complex, and Recreation Center Complex Projects. Better Trees of Texas, along with their certified tree grower, are a team of certified professionals who have sourced high quality trees for growing operations for several large developments. By contracting with Better Trees of Texas, PARD is able to guarantee that the quantity, size, and quality of the trees necessary for each phase of development are available during the entire construction timeline. This contract spans the entire construction time frame (including any unforeseen construction delays) and is a "Not to exceed" $600,000 limit over that time frame.
