Transportation is proposing to apply for CAMPO (Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization) Call for projects for FY 2028 funding. The North Mays Street Widening project is a candidate for the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program, under the category of Infrastructure construction. If awarded, the City would contribute a total of 40% of the construction costs, while 60% would be reimbursed via the grant program.
The current construction estimate is: $15.3M
Cost breakdown:
CAMPO: $9.2M
City of Round Rock: $6.1M
North Mays Street Widening project is one of four applications being submitted by the City, which if all awarded, would obligate the City to $25M in matching funds.
