Consider an Ordinance annexing 1.517 acres of CR 107 Spur right-of-way south of CR 107 and north of Chandler Road. (First Reading)*

This property consists of CR 107 Spur right-of-way (ROW) on the east side of SH 130 north of Chandler Road alongside the existing QuikTrip. The annexation of ROW is required when the city seeks to annex property adjacent to the ROW, and two public hearings are required before the ROW can be annexed. In this case, the ROW annexation will be followed by annexation and original zoning for the QuikTrip tract. The City notified Williamson County of its intent to annex the ROW pursuant to Section 43.1055 of the Local Government Code. Williamson County approved the release at the February 10, 2026, Commissioners Court meeting. Two statutorily required public hearings for the right-of-way annexation were held on March 12 and March 26, 2026. This meeting constitutes the City Council’s formal action on the annexation following those public hearings. Zoning of the QuikTrip property will be considered under a subsequent agenda item.
