Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to "Agreement between the City of Round Rock and Smith Pump Company, Inc for the Purchase of Water and Wastewater Pumps, Motors, Supply, and Repair."

 

Body

The City’s water system serves the population of the City's residents. The City operates multiple water treatment sites and facilities that treat millions of gallons of water per day. The pumps and motors that operate these facilities are crucial for treatment of our system's water including the City's raw water intake pumping facility at Lake Georgetown; therefore, proper and timely maintenance and repair is essential to the City. Smith Pump Company, Inc. is a local company who already serves the City’s pump and motor needs and has provided reliable equipment and troubleshooting over the years.

 

This is Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with Smith Pump Company, Inc. This agreement will cover purchases of pump and motor repairs and installations, as well as services for existing equipment.   Supplemental Agreement No. 1 is for $1,200,000, which brings the total contract amount to $1,680,000. This agreement will terminate on June 30, 2028.​

 

Cost: $1,200,000.00
