Property owners Debra Kay and Marc Briggs have requested annexation of the subject property into the City of Round Rock's corporate limits. The 230.08-acre property is currently located in the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction and will meet the contiguity requirements pursuant to Texas Local Government Code upon annexation of the adjacent 2.673-acre Nelson tract. All required city services will be provided, and the owner or eventual developer will be responsible for any utility extensions.
This is part of the series of actions on this agenda related to the creation of an in-city Municipal Utility District containing 900-plus single-family homes. This annexation will be followed by a Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map Amendment, zoning, consent to the creation of the MUD, and a development agreement with the developer of the MUD. On the attached aerial map, the property proposed for annexation in this item is outlined in red, which is the entirety of the proposed in-city MUD.
