Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 1 with Atkins North America, Inc. for the General Services (2013-2014) Wastewater Project.

On January 25, 2013, the City Manager approved executing a Contract for General Engineering Services (2013-2014) Wastewater with Atkins North America, Inc. for a not to exceed amount of $40,000. This Contract reached its limit having been utilized for three different wastewater projects.
This Supplemental Contract No. 1 for professional engineering services is for Atkins North America, Inc. to provide additional wastewater consulting services to the City on an "as-needed" basis. These consulting services will be issued and accounted for via a "Work Order" system and billed to CIP Utility Projects For each task, the City will receive a proposal from Atkins and once the fees are agreed upon, the City will issue a work order. This contract has a scheduled completion date of December 31, 2014 and the amount is not to exceed an additional $40,000. Therefore, this supplemental contract along with the original contract will be $80,000, with just under $40,000 already expended.
