Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Austin Traffic Signal Construction Company, Inc. for the University Boulevard and Vizcaya Parkway Signal Improvements Project.

On December 16, 2014 the City opened sealed bids for the signal Improvement project on University Boulevard and Vizcaya Parkway. One bid was received from Austin Traffic Signal. The engineering firm, HDR, reviewed the bid and found no errors. The bid amount was $ 191,221.00.
The entire cost of this signal will be bourne by Taylor Morrison, the Vizcaya developer. In addition, the developer has agreed to make a one time payment of $20,000 to the city's Signal Division for future maintenance that will be necessary on the specifically specified colored poles and mast arms.
