To better serve our departments, General Services would like to use two ford dealerships, Mac Haik Ford and H.A. Wilson as a trades Mechanics for the City. This agreement will allow the City to sublet work anytime we get behind or run into a problem that cannot be resolved. By negotiating the labor rate up front ($75 an hr) the City benefits significantly from the normal shop rate of $120 an hour.
This recommendation for award is to establish two three year contracts to provide Automotive Repair Services for the City's Ford fleet. The City seeks to enter into an agreement with Mac Haik Ford Lincoln as one of the two vendors selected. The City received 3 bids on March 13, 2015 and Mac Haik Ford Lincoln provides the best cost for labor. The bids submitted have been reviewed and it has been determined that the best value for the City is to award the respondent listed above for contract award. The purchasing Division recommends a dual award for automotive repair services.
