Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 1 with Cash Construction Company, Inc. for the Sundance Parkway and Parker Road Street Reconstruction (La Frontera Phase II) Project.

 

Body

The Sundance and Parker Road Reconstruction Project was re-phased and the original Traffic Control Plan was modified to better accommodate the traveling public, by opening driveways, and constructing longer segments of the project at one time. By doing so, we were able to eliminate many of the traffic control devices which were originally in the plans, thereby saving time and money.  We also encountered different subbase conditions which were better than expected from the soil borings. The result of these project modifications is a reduction to the original construction contract of ($344,355.00).
