Consider a resolution amending "Appendix A: Fees, Rates, and Charges" to the Code of Ordinances (2010 Edition) by amending Chapter 46 to create an application fee for mobile food establishment permits.
Body
The purpose of this resolution is to add an application fee for mobile food estashment permits, which will be $150. As is stated in the ordinance, this fee will be assessed each calendar year when an applicant comes in to obtain or renew a mobile food establishment permit. Staff has evaluated this fee in other cities and has found $150 to be a competetive rate. The same fee in Austin is almost $500 and is broken down into many different components. San Marcos charges $200 per year, Buda charges $100 or $150 per year depending on the type of establishment, and Georgetown charges $110 per quarter.
