Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 1 with Patin Construction for the Seton Parkway Extension/Medical Center Parkway Project.

Body

The Seton Parkway Extension Project is to extend the existing Seton Parkway southward and connect to Avery Nelson Blvd.   While connecting the proposed waterline to the existing waterline the contractor encountered conditions that were not shown on the plans as far as elevations and a redesign of the tie-in was done by the engineer to avoid the proposed cast-in-place concrete culvert box.  The resulting tie-in had change order items in  the amount of $33,400.  The new tie-in made for a better system and a more maintenance friendly run of waterline.

The remaining portion of this Change Order is for the conduits crossings under the roadway for future utility use by the developer which they have agreed to pay in the full amount of $94,400.

Cost:  $127,800.00

Source of Funds: 2014 Transportation COs
