Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Xylem Flowtronex PSI, LLC for the Forest Creek Reuse Irrigation Pump Station Replacement Project.
Body
The Forest Creek Golf Club opened in the early 1990’s. The Golf Course irrigation system was originally connected to the City’s potable water distribution system and was then changed over to reuse water in 1999. An existing wastewater force main extending from the Brushy Creek East Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant was utilized to convey effluent water to a pond located adjacent to the 15th hole green. The original system required the use of a pump station to increase the pressure to efficiently irrigate the golf course. A building was built to house a “portable skid” that included three pumps that pump reuse water into the golf course irrigation system.
The existing pump skid configuration has exceeded its original life expectancy and is in need of replacement. On October 15th, the Utility Staff received three bids for the pump replacement package. These bids ranged from $83,890.62 to $99,700 with Xylem Flowtronex PSI submitting the lowest bid.
Cost: $83,890.62
Source of Funds: Self-Financed Water Construction
