Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Unifirst Corporation for the purchase of uniform rental and laundry services.

Employee uniform are provided for uniformity, professional representation and to ensure a consistent appropriate image to the public.To ensure cost savings to the City, the Purchasing Department is utilizing the National Joint Purchasing Alliance Cooperative bidding procedures to award to Unifirst Corporation. Unifirst has been providing the City with uniform rental and cleaning services since 2008. After evaluation of the current services and options and pricing available from other vendor, staff recommends the City continue with Unifirst for an additional period of sixty (60) months.
The City spends approxinmately $108,000 per year on uniform services. The costs are paid from the using department's operating budget.
