Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 1 with Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. for the Forest Creek Lift Station Rehabilitation Project.

Body

The Forest Creek Lift Station was constructed in 1992 and provides service to the Forest Creek Subdivision area.  As the Forest Creek Subdivision developed, four additional lift stations were installed and all wastewater flows from these lift stations drained to the Forest Creek Lift Station.  The lift station is in need of rehabilitation and a backup generator.

Engineering services with Lockwood, Andrews, and Newnam, Inc. (LAN) for preliminary design of the Forest Creek Lift Station was approved October 30, 2015.  The study consisted of rehabilitating the existing wet well and replacing mechanical components of the lift station, as well as providing a new backup generator.  Relocating the lift station was also considered.

Supplemental Agreement No. 1 is required for the engineering design and construction phase services of the Forest Creek Lift Station based on recommendations from the recently completed preliminary design report.

Cost: $88,055.00
