Consider a resolution amending "Appendix A: Fees, Rates and Charges" to the Code of Ordinances (2010 Edition) by amending Chapter 26, Parks and Recreation Fees, regarding use and rental fees.

This item is to amend the Parks and Recreation Fees listed in Chapter 29 of the ordinance. A summary of the fee changes is attached to this Item Summary. In addition to the fee change summary attached, the amendment also included some general housekeeping items such as removing the non-resident fees, removing room capacities, updating the "senior" age to be consistent across all fees and updating the hours for after hour use to be easier for the customers to understand.
The Rock'N River fees were last changed two (2) years ago while the majority of the other Parks and Recreation fees have not been updated in 5+ years. As part of this proposed fee revision, PARD did a market comparison of a number of entities in our market, as well as statewide, to compare where Round Rock's fees compared to the market. In general, the majority of our fees where either a little below or within range of the market rate as compared to these other entities. Even with the fee increases proposed in this revision, PARD believes that we are still providing affordable services to our citizens/customers while still achieving a level of ROI on our facilities and services.
