Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program for United Parcel Service, Inc.

United Parcel Service (UPS) will build a new distribution facility in Round Rock, Texas. The regional expansion into Round Rock will provide additional operating capacity for UPS in the greater Austin area, alleviate pressure on the existing distribution network, and accommodate the future growth that UPS has projected for Central Texas operations. The new facility will be located on approximately fifty acres near S.H 45 and A.W. Grimes Boulevard on the west side of Schultz Lane in Round Rock. A Section 380 Agreement was used as the incentive tool for this project.
This resolution outlines the incentives that will be given to UPS in exchange for them locating this new facility in the city limits.
