Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement Releasing and Accepting Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) Property with the City of Pflugerville.

This is an agreement between The City of Round Rock and the City of Pflugerville regarding the release of parcels covering 7.561 acres from the Round Rock ETJ. The parcels are located South of SH45/Louis Henna Boulevard and north of Meister Lane, including the Kenney Fort Boulevard right-of-way and two parcels to the east of the right-of-way. Staff believes these parcels serve no strategic interest to the city, given the lack of nearby water and wastewater facilities. This agreement also states that if Round Rock accepts the agreement, it will also disannex any of the included properties that are currently within the Round Rock city limits. This associated disannexation item is also on this same Council agenda. The subject parcels would be relinquished to the City of Pflugerville, which agrees to accept the parcels.
The Pflugerville City Council accepted this agreement June 14, 2016. If the Round Rock City Council approves the resolution, the agreement will be complete.
