Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract for Engineering Services with HDR Engineering Inc. for Stormwater Emergency Support 2016-2018 Work Authorization.

This work authorization contract with HDR Engineering, Inc. is to support City staff during and after emergency situations such as severe storm events. HDR will help prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate major flooding events. On-call services will be used as an extension of City staff to monitor flooding conditions during an event as well as to place valuable resources in the field to help assess flood damage and identify compromised infrastructure as directed by the City. Through this work authorization, HDR will also assist City staff with emergency design support, FEMA response documentation and help pursue grants and other funding as they become available from state or national disaster declarations.
This contract is good for two years and expires July 31, 2018.
