Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order to We Build Fun, Inc. for the purchase of a playground system for Joanne Land Playground.

This item would allow the City to purchase and install new playground equipment for the Joanne Land Expansion Project. The purchase of this equipment will bring the playground up to current ADA standards and provide a fun and safe environment for park visitors.
This project includes the expansion of the playground and the installation of new playground equipment.
Joanne Land is one of our most heavily used playgrounds and the existing equipment (installed in 2003) has reached the end of its viable life. To better fit in the crown jewel of our parks system, the replacement playground equipment chosen for Joanne Land is at the forefront of the industry. In fact, this will be the first-ever installation of the equipment, so the playground will be featured in the manufacturer's catalogue. Due to the City's partnership with the manufacturer, they are offering the City a $140,000.00 discount on the play equipment.
This project was identified in Year 6 of the PARD Repair and Replacement Program.
