Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract for Engineering Services with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. for the CORR Design and Construction Standards (DACS) Project.

Body

All construction activities in the City of Round Rock (CORR) are required to meet the Design and Construction Standards (DACS) adopted by the City.  Portions of the Transportation Criteria Manual of the current DACS are outdated.  The specifications and details were initially developed in 2001 and last full, formal revisoin was in 2005.  Since that time there have been many amended updates and/or inclusions that need to be part of a full scale, overall revision to meet current construction practices. This professional services contract with AECOM will provide much needed updates by incorporating accepted engineering practice, current industry standards, best management practices as well as consideration of future maintenance and operational concerns.  The fee for these services is $493,103.00.  Final deliverables will be submitted to the CORR in early December for implementation.
