Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Patin Construction, LLC for the Greenlawn Storm Drainage Improvements Project.

 

Body

During intense rainfall events, significant storm water inundation can occur in and near the intersection of Gattis School Road and Greenlawn Boulevard. Properties northeast of the intersection have experienced abnormal levels of storm water within them and a couple of the businesses have actually had storm water enter their buildings.  This project is designed to capture and convey storm water in order to reduce the potential flooding frequency in the area.

On August 30, 2016, the City received and opened seven bids for construction of the project. Staff recommends the City select only the Base Bid of which the construction estimate by the design engineer was $290,000. Patin Construction submitted the lowest Base Bid and staff recommends award to Patin Construction in the amount of $263,079.

Cost: $263,079.00
