Consider an ordinance annexing 36.95 acres at Gattis School Road and Westview Drive ("Westview Annexation"). (Second Reading)

The City Council directed staff to prepare a service plan for the annexation of the area along Gattis School Road at their meeting on October 27, 2016. The service plan was prepared and the required notifications were made. The first public hearing on the annexation was held on December 1, 2016 and the second public hearing was held on December 13, 2016.
The first ordinance reading was the initiation of the annexation process. This second ordinance reading will complete the annexation. City services will be provided according to the terms of the service plan, which is contained in the ordinance. Police, fire and emergency services will be provided immediately upon annexation. Water and wastewater services will be provided within two and one-half years, if not sooner.
