On August 18, 2016, the City solicited bids for the purchase of eleven water treatment chemicals. Pennco, Inc. was the lowest bidder for Hydrofluosilicic Acid 23%. This chemical is used to fluoridate the water.This contract with Pennco is based on 40 tons of usage per year for an annual cost of $19,400. This contract is for five years and a total amount of $97,000.
