This ordinance calls both a general election and special election for May 6, 2017.
In 2017, Mayor, Councilmember Place 1 and Councilmember Place 4 will be elected in the General Election. In addition, a Special election will be held for citizens to vote on the proposed amendments to the Charter that were recommended by the Charter Review Commission in 2015.
This item only calls the election as required by the Texas Election Code. The City Clerk's office will bring back election services contracts with both Williamson County and Travis County at the February 23rd City Council meeting.
