Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Joint Election Agreement and Contract for Election Services with Williamson County and Participating Entities.

This agreement will allow the City to contract with the Williamson County Elections Administrator to conduct the May 6, 2017 election, in addition to sharing all election costs with other Williamson County entities that are also holding elections this May.
Williamson County estimates the total cost of May elections to be $250,000. Costs for each entity are determined on a pro rata basis plus $1000 base fee and an administrative fee of 10% (of total billable costs). They will provide us with an official cost estimate once final determination of all participating entities has been made. The City is required to pay a 50% deposit within 15 days of receiving the official cost estimate.
