Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County for access to the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System.

Williamson County serves as a backup call and/or dispatch center for the City of Round Rock. This agreement would allow the City’s public safety dispatchers to access the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) when in backup mode, using the county’s equipment and dispatch terminals.
TLETS provides valuable law enforcement-related data from intrastate and interstate sources to assist law enforcement in the investigation of crime. TLETS allows dispatchers to check and verify driver licenses, missing persons, subject warrants, stolen vehicles, and the like. There is no cost associated with this item.
