Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 4 with Joeris General Contractors, Ltd for the Multi-Purpose Field Complex.

Body

The Multi Purpose Fields project includes 10 fields, a two story club house, stand-alone restroom facilities, parking and a section of Kenney Fort. This project started in early January 2016 Overall 2016 was a very wet year for Texas. August of 2016 tied a record set back in 1914 for rainfall.  Contractually there are 54 weather day, there was measurable rain fall on over 80 days.

The amount of rain fall was significantly more than average causing the ground to become oversaturated eliminating the ability to work on the ground for at times up to a week. Effectively creating about three (3) months of construction delays The request for thirty (30) days of additional supervision is all Joeris is requesting due to the delays.

A few items on this Change order have to do with plans not addressing items fully, or not addressing City ordinances. The industry term for this is Architectural Errors and Omissions.

The remaining items are owner additions to enhance the project or surrounding park.
