Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Meet and Confer Agreement with the Round Rock Police Officers Association.

This is the third Meet and Confer agreement with the Round Rock Police Officers Association (POA) and, if approved, would expire on September 30, 2020.
This agreement normalizes pay increases at 2% between steps as much as is reasonably possible and includes pay increases of 2.5% for FY 2019 and FY 2020. There were also minor changes made to the amount of vacation and sick hours officers could cash-out upon retirement.
The City Manager’s office had several meetings with the POA board and feels this agreement makes appropriate changes to the pay and benefits received by those covered under the agreement. The POA approved the agreement with the following vote: 116 FOR / 9 AGAINST.
