Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Agreement Regarding Property Acquisition for BCRUA Regional Water Treatment and Distribution Project (Phase 2) with the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority, Inc.

Body

The purpose of this ILA is to authorize the City of Round Rock to acquire property on behalf of the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority (BCRUA) that is needed for Phase 2 of the treatment and distribution project. Specifically, the ILA provides the that the BCRUA consents, acknowledges, and authorizes the City to negotiate for the voluntary purchase of, and if necessary, to use its power of eminent domain for the acquisition of the property. The ILA also provides that the BCRUA agrees to reimburse the City for any and all costs expended which are directly related to the acquisition of the required property interest.
