Consider an ordinance adopting the Transportation Master Plan Update. (First Reading)*

The City entered into a contract with HDR Engineering, Inc. in February 2016 to provide engineering services to update the Transportation Master Plan. City staff provided project oversight, background data as necessary, assisted with open houses and public meetings, coordinated a technical advisory committee to direct the TMP update process and met with HDR at milestones to review and comment. HDR staff provided project management, performed a comprehensive review and evaluation of the existing city plan, gathered data, developed traffic projections, developed recommendations for changes, built a Travel Demand Model and Corridor Analysis, studied Multi modal alternatives, assembled a Capital Improvements framework and completed the Transportation Master Plan document with map. Please find the results of this effort and a proposed update to the Transportation Master Plan for your consideration.
