Consider authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with IDEXX Distribution, Inc. for the purchase of laboratory equipment and supplies.

The City operates a Water and Wastewater Laboratory that is located adjacent to the Water Treatment Plant. Colilert and the Colilert System are proprietary products made only by IDEXX Distribution, Inc. The City of Round Rock's laboratory has been accredited with this product since 1996. The lab processes and manages over 13,000 sampler per year with these sole source items. The City would like to continue contracting with IDEXX Distribution, Inc. for laboratory equipment and supplies. This contract is for three years at a not-to-exceed price of $70,000 per year. The total contract amount for the three years is $210,000.
