Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 1 with Chasco Constructors for the McNeil Road Extension Phase 1 Project.

Body
The Transportation Department requests that council consider a resolution to approve Change Order+Quantity Adjustment #1 for the McNeil Extension Project-Phase 1.

This Change Order/Quantity Adjustment #1 includes augmenting the original contract to include duct bank crossings that will be needed as a result of the upcoming Depot Project, 3" conduit sleeves, and adjustments to quantities in order to match actual field conditions.

Change Order #1 includes construction of underground duct bank crossings in four specific locations. These locations were coordinated with the upcoming Depot project in order to reduce the potential for roadway conflicts in the future. Further, the 3" conduit will be used for the coming duct bank in Lampasas. The conduit will be for our CORR fiber that currently runs overhead down Lampasas and onto Voigt Elementary. The total amount of Change Order #1 equates to $89,902.00; however, it is the city's intent to recover a portion of these costs when the Depot ties into these crossings. The city has the potential to reclaim ± $72,822.00 from the Depot(assuming the Depot only requires 2 Oncor sleeves, 2 Communication Sleeves, & 1 Atmos Sleeve...see breakdown of Duct bank Sleeve Crossings).

Quantity Adjustment #1 includes a requests to modify the contract quantities to reflect the actual amounts of AC pipe that was removed during demolition; as well the addition of an area inlet. The total amount of Quantity Adjustment #1 equates to $4,000.00.

The initial contract price was $1,744,147.00; the new proposed contract price with adjustments will be $1,838,049.00. The Transportation Department recommends approval of Change Order #1, and Quantity Adjustment #1, for a total difference between Original and adjusted contract price of $93,902.00.

Cost: $93,902.00
