Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Austin Traffic Signal Construction Company, Inc. for the RM 1431 at Texas Crushed Stone & Old Settlers Boulevard at Kenney Fort Boulevard Project.

A public bid opening was held on July 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm for the construction of two traffic signals. The signal locations are at the intersection of RM 1431 and Newsom (Texas Crushed Stone entrance) and the intersection of Old Settler's Blvd. and Kenney Fort Blvd. One responsive bidder, Austin Traffic Signal (ATS) submitted a bid. Bids were opened and read aloud by the project consultant engineer, Brown and Gay Engineering (BGE). BGE performed a bid tabulation check and found small errors in the bids for both signal locations. The corrected total project amount is $454,961.10. ATS has been notified of the change and are acceptable to the corrections. The engineer certifies the corrected bid tab.
Texas Crushed Stone is participating in the cost and construction of the signal at their driveway location (Newsom).
