Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Shade Structure, Inc. for the purchase and installation of a fabric shade structure for the Clay Madsen Recreation Center tennis courts.

Body

This item allows the purchase of a large fabric shade structure over the tennis courts at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center.  This shade structure will be 120'x120' and will provide one of the first covered tennis courts in central Texas outside of the Dallas Metro Areas.  By covering the tennis courts, it not only provides shade for the tennis players, but it also provides programming flexibility.  Summer and after-school camps will be able to use this area for games and classes, as well as for use for fitness classes and programming.

Cost: $322,916.16
