Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a resolution in support of an application by Trinity Place Senior Housing to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for funding to rehabilitate the Trinity Place Apartments.

Body

Trinity Place Senior Housing is requesting this resolution in support of their application for funding to rehabilitate Trinity Place Apartments, an existing 68-unit affordable senior housing community located at 1203 Cushing Drive in Round Rock.  The Council’s support of their application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) and a commitment from the City for a minimum of $500.00 of funding assistance, in the form of reduced permit fees, will improve the overall success of their application.  The proposed renovations will include both critical repairs and cosmetic maintenance, for an estimated $5.6 million.  The application is for an allocation of the 2019 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits from the TDHCA.
