Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 2 with Chasco Constructors for the Clay Madsen Soccer Field Project.

Body

This item will authorize the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 2 with with Chasco Constructors for the Clay Madsen Soccer Field Project. Waiting for the utility companies to move their lines caused construction to be delayed over nine months. During that time, construction costs increased to the degree that it warranted an adjustment. Fence system added to ensure driver safety on the adjacent Gattis School Road by keeping balls on the playing field. Adjustments made in the field necessitated the installation of a concrete pad for the electrical panel. Decision to keep cut topsoil on site reduced haul off charges.

The Clay Madsen Soccer Field Project includes: two full-size soccer fields, irrigation, field lighting, additional parking, sidewalk, and fencing. This project will replace two of the five soccer fields lost with the conversion of Luther Peterson Park to a city facility.

Cost: $78,664.98
