Body
The Transportation Department requests that council consider a resolution to approve Change Order/Quantity Adjustment #1 for the 2017 Street Maintenance Project(SMP)-Seal Coat/Chip Seal Project.
The 2017 Street Maintenance Project(SMP)-Seal Coat/Chip Seal consisted of improving University Boulevard, Deep Wood Drive, the City's Recycling Center and the Play for All Abilities Park. The project was awarded to Lone Star Paving. The project included full depth repairs to both University Blvd. & Deep Wood Dr. at specific locations along both roads. Additionally, the Transportation Department requests that the contract quantities be adjusted for increased tonnage (296.58 Ton) in Ty. B(12") due to widening the required area for pavement repairs on Deep Wood and University, as well as increased tonnage (38.6 Ton) in Ty. D(2") due to a required level up for the Play For All Abilities new drive access, and (75.25 Ton) in Ty. B(6") for the Recycling Center. Likewise, there will be a credit of -$165,850.00. The total amount of Quantity Adjustment #1 equates to a (negative) -$97,834.68.
