Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Election Services Contract and Joint Election Agreement with Williamson County and participating entities for the May 4, 2019 General Election.

This agreement will allow the City to contract with Williamson County to conduct the May 4th General Election as well as cost share with all of the other participating entities in Williamson County.
We have not yet received our cost estimate for this election as the total number of participating entities will not be known until the filing deadline (February 15th) has passed. We are estimating the Williamson County portion of the election to be approximately the same as last year which was $33,634.00. It is important to note that this cost is only for Williamson County to actually conduct the election in that county and does not include the other costs associated with the election such as the Travis County portion (approximately $1500) and the cost of publishing the election notice (approximate $8,000) and translation services (approximately $500).
